The EXFO X-Cite 120 (XI120) is a 120 W metal halide fluorescence light source for widefield microscopy, fitted with an adjustable iris for intensity control. Its pre-aligned Intelli-Lamp gives bright, broad-spectrum excitation with a uniform field of view. It connects to the microscope by a liquid light guide, which keeps lamp heat off the specimen.
