The Nikon CFI S Plan Fluor ELWD 20x/0.45 (MRH08230) is an extra-long working distance Super Plan Fluor objective designed for imaging through culture vessels and thick samples. Its correction collar compensates for cover glass and vessel bottom thicknesses from 0 to 2.0mm, with an 8.2–6.9mm working distance that accommodates thick-bottomed plastic dishes, flasks, and well plates. High transmittance from near-UV to near-IR makes it an excellent choice for fluorescence and calcium imaging, while DIC N1 compatibility and support for brightfield, darkfield, and simple polarization make it a versatile everyday objective on Nikon inverted microscopes.
