The Yokogawa CSU-X1 (CSUX1-A1N-E /FB1/C101) is a high-end spinning disk confocal scanner unit for fast optical sectioning and 3D imaging in live-cell and dynamic fluorescence applications. Its dual Nipkow disk design pairs about 20,000 pinholes with a matching microlens disk, raster-scanning the field of view with roughly 1,000 laser beams at once. That multi-beam scanning gives high speed with significantly lower photobleaching and phototoxicity than single-point laser scanning confocals. This High-End A1 model adds a motorized 3-position dichroic block and a 6-position high-speed emission filter wheel for automated multicolor imaging, and this configuration includes the 405–650nm laser induction fiber and a C-mount camera port.
